I passed the second screening for gestational diabetes, so bring on the sweets! I figured out why I failed the first time... We stopped at McDonald's right before my appointment and I forgot that on the sheet they gave me (3 weeks prior) it said not to have eaten at least an hour before testing. So I had to be tortured with the 3 hour one due to my own stupidity... Ok.
Michael was sick all last week with bronchitis, but he is doing much better now. However, now his mom has pneumonia! He switched his schedule at work since we have doctors appointments every 2 weeks now. I like it though because now he gets off at 11 every Friday! Last weeks doctor appointment went fine, they said everything was perfect, weight gain thus far is approx 18 lbs. (Thanks a lot sweets...) I'm so thin (yeah right) that Mike got to feel where Rylee's head is. Then she ran my hand all the way down her little back to her butt! She's head down, so it's those big feet pushing on my ribs all the time, and those little hands boxing with my bladder!
Last Saturday, we went to Elijay, GA to Burt's Pumpkin Farm and Hillcrest Apple Orchard. We let Layla run around and pick out her own pumpkin. Me and Mike picked ours ,with Layla's help of course. Then we headed off to the apple orchard and picked apples off the trees. We took a tractor ride to the playground and after all that excitement, we headed back to Dallas. Layla had SO much fun, and it was a very enjoyable experience! Sunday, we carved the pumpkins, baked pumpkin seeds and even baked pumpkin cookies! Layla won't be with us for Halloween this year, but she says she already has a ladybug and Blues Clues costume at Honey's house! Here are some pictures from Elijay!

In other news - the first baby shower seems to be coming along! Nov. 14th is the set date and invitations are already out! I'm starting to get very excited and anxious! We only have about 11 more weeks until she's here!! I believe the second shower is the following weekend, Nov. 21st. I'm working on getting addresses together for invitations to that shower. I feel like I have so much to do!
Had an interview last Thursday with a staffing agency, so hopefully they will find me something SOON! Dentist appointments went fine, turns out I have a cavity on my wisdom tooth. Not to worry - those little buggers will be out ASAP after Rylee is born! Ha ha. Got my teeth cleaned for the first time in like 6 years! I know, I know... But if you think about it, 1 cavity after not having my teeth cleaned in that long is pretty good!!
I will do my very best not to let so much time go between posts, that way there isn't so much to catch you up on! This is all caught up on events! Hope everyone is ok and doing well!
